Your estimating package, built from the takeoff

A bid still has to land in a spreadsheet you can open, hand over and keep working from. The cover sheet, the door, hardware, finish and millwork sheets, and a recap or a client proposal are generated from the live project and download as one ZIP -- the retyping is the part that disappears, not the workbook itself.

How it works

  1. 01

    Fill the job details

Estimate number, job title, architect, bid due date and the rest, typed by hand or read from the project's documents. Each read value shows the file and page it came from, and what you type always wins.

  2. 02

    Download the package

One button builds the package from live data: a combined workbook with a cover sheet, a recap, and a sheet each for doors, hardware, finishes and millwork, plus each of those sheets on its own.

  3. 03

Choose the internal or the client copy

The internal copy carries cost, price source and a recap whose markup steps are live formulas. The client copy never writes a cost, margin or price-source column, and swaps the recap for a proposal of the bid price and alternates.

What it does

Typed input always wins
A field you typed is never overwritten by a value read from your documents. A finding only fills a field you left blank, and only when you ask for it.
Two separate files, not a hidden column
The client copy is built without cost, not built with it and hidden, so nothing internal can travel with it.
Available from more than one place
Download it from the door or hardware review pages, the project dashboard header, or the recap page, where the Client copy checkbox picks the mode.

Common questions

Do I need to upload my own Excel template?

No. The workbook is generated for you from the project. There is no upload-your-own-template step.

What if I only type some of the job fields?

Use Fill from your documents and it reads the project's files for the rest, without touching anything you already typed.

What's in the ZIP?

A combined workbook with the cover sheet, the recap (or the proposal in the client copy), and the door, hardware, finish and millwork sheets, plus each of those four sheets as its own workbook.
