Schedules
Unusual values, shaded before the bid goes out
A schedule with two hundred rows hides a wrong one easily. A size that does not match the rest of the sheet, or a value that shows up only once where everything else repeats, is shaded in the grid -- so it is the first thing you look at, not the thing you find after the bid is out.

How it works
-
01
Runs on the door sheet
Every door schedule row is checked as the grid is edited, in the background, without holding up your typing.
-
02
Numeric columns use a statistical range
A size or count outside the normal spread of the rest of the column is flagged; a blank cell is never flagged.
-
03
Text columns catch a one-off
A value that appears only once, in a column where most values repeat, is flagged the same way -- unless almost every value in that column is already unique, where the check steps aside rather than shading everything.
-
04
Shaded in place, checked again after every edit
A flagged cell is shaded directly in the grid. Editing the schedule re-runs the check in the background and updates the shading a moment later.
What it does
- No extra click
- Shading appears in the grid you are already editing -- there is no separate report to open first.
- Runs in the background
- A check does not hold up your typing. It runs after an edit and the shading updates a moment later.
- A CSV of the flags
- The same check is available as a one-off download: a CSV with a 1 or 0 for every cell, if you want the raw flags outside the grid.
Common questions
What counts as unusual?
For a number -- a size, a count -- a value well outside the normal spread of that column. For text, a value that shows up only once in a column where most values repeat.
Does a shaded cell mean it is wrong?
Not necessarily. It means the value is unusual next to the rest of the schedule, which is worth a look either way -- it could be a typo, or it could be a door that is genuinely different.
Can I get the flags without opening the grid?
Yes, as a CSV download alongside the schedule itself.
